Use the Platform/ OS report to see which Platform and Operating Systems are the most popular for your site. This report also functions to give you a breakdown by device, because by looking at the OS you can often determine the device.
This is useful if your business works with different websites, mobile websites, apps, etc. This report will allow you to test and optimize usability for your users and visitors.
This report lists all known Platforms and Operating Systems- through which many of the devices which people visited your site or app can be identified.
Using the calendar, you can select any date range required. The date range is then displayed top right in the Options bar as the ‘selected period’.
The columns in the table are; No., Platform/ OS, Graph, Visitors, Percentage.

While a typical Platforms report will look like this in terms of entries;

The OS – Operating System table will contain many more entries, as there are many sub-entries and devices specified;

Definition

The Platform/ OS report displays all visits to your site filtered by Platform and further filtered within Platform by Operating System (OS).
The OS table identifies and specifies individual devices, for example ipad, iphone, blackberry, Windows phone, etc.
Visually, the report is made up of a list of all Platforms from which visits were identified, in order of popularity.
The information is displayed in both a pie chart graph and a table.
Please note that there are two tables for this report; the first table is grouped by Operating System, and the second by OS – Operating System, so that you can drill-down within the Platform and identify devices, see screenshot below for details.
